Under the supervision of the Community Director, the Bookkeeper will provide operational support through management of all financial data for the project. He/she will be required to provide timely and accurate financial information to the Community Director, monitor accounting and operational compliance with all federal/state agencies, and comply with Michaels Management Services, Inc. (MMS) accounting policies and procedures. MMS emphasizes a team approach and fully expects every person to perform any reasonable task or request that is consistent with fulfilling company objectives.
The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper will be to maintain all daily accounting functions to ensure the operations of the site is efficient. He/she will maintain accounting functions in the area of both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. He/she will also be responsible for performing audits, either limited or detailed, at the direction of the Community Director. The Bookkeeper will be coordinating efforts with the corporate Controller on a monthly basis for the monthly closeout of the property.

The Community Manager has full on-site day-to-day responsibility for all property (community) management activities/functions and ensures that a property or properties under his/her control are maintained at all times in good physical condition and with a stable fiscal operation, providing residents a clean and well-maintained community.

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for monitoring the regulatory compliance of a specific portfolio of properties to ensure adherence to HUD Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Rural Housing and other applicable Housing Program requirements. The duties of this full-time position will primarily include the review and approval of Move In Applications, Interim Recertifications and Annual Recertifications. This involves the review of verifications as well as calculations listed on the certifications. Also responsible for Compliance Reporting to regulatory agencies as well as responses to questions and concerns from these agencies; support and assist field staff; assist with Special Projects as needed.

The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
