Michaels is looking for a Real Estate Development Intern who is ready to apply their course-work to a real-world experience! The intern will assist the Development team with a wide-range of responsibilities during the program. The internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated students with a genuine desire to learn about the real estate business and industry. During the program, you will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. Michaels aims to help candidates build strengths, gain skills that can be transferred to any workplace, and stand out from the crowd!

The Real Estate Development Intern will work collaboratively with the Mid-Atlantic Development staff, focusing on business development, pre-development and close-out activities. This includes performing analysis of proposed multifamily real estate developments that qualify for low-income housing tax credits or market-rate rental housing financed with debt and equity. The Development Intern works in a collaborative environment on the underwriting, pursuit, closing and delivery of multiple multifamily housing communities. The Development intern will assist the Regional Vice President of Development in special projects.
