The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping the 12th, 14th & 15th floors of the corporate office cleanly at all times. This involves dusting, sanitizing and cleaning all common areas, bathrooms, conference rooms and offices. Also help with the set up and breakdown of any events or meetings. The Housekeeper will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner, and in addition to the duties described herein, will perform other duties as requested by the Office Manager. The Housekeeper must provide exceptional customer service while assessing and servicing the property.

 

*The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

 

**The anticipated start date for this position is Monday, December 2, 2024.

 

Responsibilities

• Refill all empty paper towels
• Refill all empty toilet paper
• Refill hand soap if half empty
• Check all items that use batteries (soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, etc)
• Trash Removal if overflowing (if paper towels can be pushed down please do so)
• Dust and clean glass and railing on connecting stairs from 14 to 15
• Clean Microwave’s (include inside top)
• Dust all baseboards and other furniture or items that should be dusted
• Clean all Glass doors and windows
• Spot mop areas as needed (bathrooms, common areas, elevator lobby, etc)
• Push vacuum and sticky roll areas as needed (use push vac for carpet and sticky rollers for tile and laminate floors)
• Full wipe down of kitchen areas and connecting common areas
• Wipe down all parts of coffee machines and empty coffee bin
• Wipe down all metal surfaces with special cleaner to keep from streaking
• Help with all events on our floors or in Triad Room (ex. cleanup of bi-monthly luncheons)
• Clean all boardrooms/training rooms after each meeting or event
• Make sure bathroom air fresheners are changed if no longer smelling
• Wipe down toilets and urinals and areas around them
• Wipe down bathroom counters and stall walls and doors
• Clean bathroom mirrors
• Refill sanitary items in women's rooms
• Report anything that is broken or not working correctly to their department head/manager
• Attend and participate in training seminars as requested. Be aware and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensure effective, timely and professional interactions with employees and management team on all services provided.
• Must be knowledgeable of inventory levels of supplies and inform manager of shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

Proven Knowledge and application of codes, laws, and regulations.


Required Education/Training:

High School Diploma or GED
Must successfully complete all required courses, classes, and training provided by The Michaels Organization


Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as, complete assignments independently.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment.
• Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Must be able to read and write legibly to complete required reports and requests, review manuals and operating instructions, read cautionary labels, and respond to written instructions from manager.
• Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion.
• Take instructions from manager.
• Exercise problem-solving skills.
• Interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
• Any employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the required cleaning tools and equipment.


Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work 35 hours per week. Occasional overtime hours may be required.
• Must be able to work indoors for extended periods.

 

 

Salary Range Information:

 

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
