The Resident Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, support, and management to students and residents of their assigned apartment. The Resident Director will maintain, train, and provide administrative leadership over Community Assistants. The Resident Director will oversee residential education programs for their community and will be fundamental in ensuring the execution of functional housing. Responsibilities may also include preparing units for move-in, leasing, and addressing behavioral issues of residents and Community Assistants, stimulating educational growth and social interaction. This position will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of administrative, operation, and educational functions. The Resident Director will work closely with the Community Manager to provide communication to residents.
1. Providing leadership, management, direction, and support to residents
2. Select, train, supervise, and support Community Assistants
3. Work with management to create and maintain a resident community that is conducive to living-learning by maintaining student success programming.
4. Assist with move-in and move-in preparations through administrative, operations, and maintenance.
5. Assist with move-out and move-out preparations through administrative, operations, and maintenance.
6. Interpret University rules, regulations, and policies; i.e., conduct informal resolution conferences with students involved in alleged violations and initiate referrals to the University judicial system as appropriate and conduct these judicial hearings as needed.
7. Maintain all required documentation for University officials and management for student conduct or concerns onsite.
8. Assist with all resident documentation reflecting student status on a quarterly basis.
Required Experience:
Demonstrates strong leadership skills and social skills to provide an inclusive environment for students
Experience working with students in a residential setting
Knowledge of University functions
Required Education/Training:
HS Diploma
Experience working with college students in a residential setting

Salary Range Information:
