AR Specialist

This position performs a variety of duties which involve basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.

1. Prepares Daily Bank Deposits via remote deposit or courier

2. Researches cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts

3. Research & correct bank discrepancies

4. Reconcile Bank Transmission daily

5. Initiate Book transfers between accounts as needed

6. Prepare Daily bank deposits for filing

7. Assist Billing Department in researching posting issues

8. Update Available Cash Balances each morning

9. Answer general questions and requests

Required Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in an Accounting/Clerical position or in a related area.
Preferably some accounting background

Required Education/Training: 
High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good mathematical background & some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems. Candidate should also be able to sort, check, count and verify numbers. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently and demonstrate good common sense. Flexibility to adapt to all situations. Ability to use 10-Key Calculator.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word required.
Knowledge of AS400 & Realpage not required but useful.
