The Corporate Marketing team at Michaels is charged with building a strong brand for both internal and external audiences, and supporting all Michaels’ business lines that drive growth. The Corporate Marketing Intern will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in a fast-paced, multifaceted position.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM for a total of 35 hours
• Based out of our Camden, NJ headquarters

• Work alongside other interns across various majors and universities

• Participate in company-wide and departmental meetings and events and a variety of social, professional and networking opportunities.
• We tell our story to both internal and external audiences, while supporting all Michaels’ business lines that drive growth. The Corporate Marketing Intern will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in a fast-paced, multifaceted position and work with professionals from across our business lines.

Under the supervision of the Communications Manager, the intern will:

• Draft content for corporate social media, newsletters, and other marketing communications
• Work in partnership with the marketing department’s Graphic Designer and other marketing team members to ensure consistent and high-quality marketing and communications materials that reflect the Michaels Brand
• Write stories about Michaels residents and scholars as well as articles for the organization’s Intranet
• Help coordinate and plan events, including logistics for groundbreakings, grand openings, and resident scholarship celebrations
• Coordinate conference attendance and sponsorship/networking activities at various events
• Handle our corporate culture ambassador recognition program
• Support video production, social media content creation, and other digital marketing projects

• College student or recent graduate working toward or with a degree in marketing, communications, English, or PR and Media Relations
• Self-starter who can work both collaboratively and independently
• Proficient in G-suite for business; familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
• Strong writing skills
• Comfortable in fast-paced environment and able to multitask

Salary Range Information

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
